Adoption Center / 23 FLs up for adoption

23 FLs up for adoption. May add more later. Most will be closed if not adopted out, but I'll keep the old members lists. 44 fanlistings at TFL are up for adoption as well.

Requirements: Keep the members list; credit all previous owners; if you want to use the current codes, please credit all creators; have a layout up within 2 weeks.

If interested in adopting, please email me at fans @ witch-hunter.net with your name, example URL, and why you'd like to adopt. If you want to adopt multiple FLs, you can include all of them in one email (with reasons for each). I'll wait until June 17 before deciding.

June 17, 2020: Closed most FLs. I am still keeping the members lists, so if you can contact me if you want them.
June 15, 2020: Updated app count.
June 11, 2020: Added X/1999: Kishuu Arashi; Kaichou wa Maid-sama: Usui/Misaki; and Witch Hunter Robin

Fanlistings Chit-Chat / Enthusiast for PHP 7+

TFL member Ekaterina has made an updated fork of Enthusiast that is compatible with PHP 7+.  The fork is at Github: https://gitlab.com/tfl-php-scripts/enthusiast.

Quoting the upgrade instructions from the Github page:

  • Back up all your current Enthusiast configurations, files, and databases first.
  • Take note of your database information in all your config.php files.
  • Download an archive of this repository. Extract the archive.
  • Replace your current enthusiast/ files with the public/enthusiast/ files from this repository.
  • In every fanlisting folder, paste the config.sample.php file. Edit your database information and listing ID variable accordingly, and save it as config.php to overwrite your old one.

Clarification for #5: For each of your individual fanlistings, use the config.sample.php file from the public/samplefl/ folder.

Since Ekaterina does not post at TAFL, please post questions on TFL's message forums.

Hi all,
I have the following FLs up for adoption:

- Dengeki Daisy: Kurosaki Tasuku (Chars 0-M)
- Naruto: Tsunade (Chars N-Z)
- Shingeki no Kyojin: Mikasa Ackerman (Chars N-Z)
- Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle and Magic Knight Rayearth: Mokona (Chars 0-M and N-Z)
- Hikaru no Go: Shindou Hikaru & Touya Akira (Relationships)
- Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (Series)

Requirements
- You have 4 weeks to get the fanlisting up.
- You must keep all the codes and credit the creators.

If interested, please e-mail me at fans [at] witch-hunter.net with your name, collective or FL example, e-mail address, fanlisting you'd like to adopt, and a brief description of why you'd like to adopt.

Deadline is August 20, 2017.

Characters N-Z / Eliminating Applications cut-off date

As of March 15, 2017, the Characters 0-M and Characters N-Z categories are eliminating the applications cut-off policy.

Under the current policy, fanlisting owners must submit Characters applications by the 15th of each month, and any applications submitted after that date will be rejected or held until the following month. Additionally, fanlistings can only be approved if they were removed more than a month prior to the update.

Starting March 15, 2017, the ‘apply by the 15th’ policy will end. Instead, Characters applications will be processed like all other TAFL categories, and all Characters subjects will be eligible for approval one week after being removed from the network. (Applications for characters from new series will not be approved until at least two weeks after the character’s first appearance.)

All applications submitted by March 15, 2017 will be processed per usual. However, all applications submitted after that date will be processed under the new procedure.

News and Announcements / TAFL has permanently moved

As you may have noticed, TAFL has been down due to issues with our domain registrar. Unfortunately, those issues have yet to be resolved, so we are moving TAFL to a new domain: http://www.animefanlistings.com/ This move will be permanent.

We require all TAFL fanlistings to update their links to http://www.animefanlistings.com/ We will be giving fanlisting owners a 1-month grace period to change their TAFL links, after which we will be troubling fanlistings for incorrect TAFL links.

No forms or e-mails should have been lost during the downtime, but you may want to check with TAFL staffers to see if they received your forms. (Remember that you can check your pending fanlisting applications yourself.)

The board has moved to http://board.animefanlistings.com/ Due to a change in forum scripts, you will have to reset your password.

If you encounter any problems with the main TAFL website, please e-mail us at seniorstaffers@animefanlistings.com with a description of the problem.

We apologize for the inconvenience on our members and visitors and thank you for your patience.

Please also check your spam/junk e-mail folders for e-mails from our site. Gmail, for example, has been placing Troubles e-mails in spam folders.

Dear Members,

As you are aware, TAFL's board has been offline for the past week. Unfortunately, the message board was recently hacked. Although we have restored the board from recent backups, some newer threads and posts were lost. Additionally, some members may need to re-upload their avatars.

More importantly, we recommend that all board members change their passwords as soon as possible to something unique - i.e., to a password that you do not use on any other Internet account. Additionally, if you used the same password for the TAFL board on any other Internet accounts, please change the passwords on those other Internet accounts as soon as possible. Use a unique password that you do not use for any other Internet account; do not use dictionary words; and use combinations of letters (both uppercase and lowercase), numbers, and symbols. For suggestions on how to create strong passwords, please read Microsoft's description: http://www.microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/passwords-create.aspx

We are extremely sorry for this security breach. Although we update our scripts when new versions come out, we cannot promise that this will not happen again. As such, we stress that board members should use strong passwords that are unique to TAFL's board and that are not used anywhere else.

News and Announcements / Issue with Web-submitted Forms

During the past month, our host had issues with forms sent through the TAFL website; specifically, some forms were not being e-mailed to staffers.

We have copies of all application forms, so these do NOT need to be resent. However, staffers may e-mail you for clarifications on subcategories, as this information may not have gone through.

Any e-mails sent directly to staffers (i.e., e-mails you did not submit through the website, such as responses to Troubles or Overdue e-mails) do not need to be resent.

Some Finished, Update, Closed, contact, Downtime, and Change E-mail forms were unfortunately not received by staffers. Therefore, if you sent a F/U/C, contact, Downtime, or Change E-mail form within the last month, we ask that you 1) check with the category staffers to see if your forms were received by posting in the appropriate subforums on the message board and 2) resubmit your form if the staffer states that your form was not received.

This problem has been fixed thanks to our developers, so all forms should now be going through. We apologize greatly for the inconvenience.
