Anyone own any fanlistings that they were originally rejected for or didn't get picked to adopt, but then later were approved/were able to adopt it? :wub: We used to have a thread like this, but I guess it got pruned away sadly, so here's a shiny new one! I'll be back with mine a bit later!

That has happened to me only in Relationships so far - Nana & Hachi (http://\"http://nameless-way.com/nana\") and Ayame & Hatori (http://\"http://nameless-way.com/sohma\") were both fanlistings I was rejected for in the first round, then they never saw the light of day, were removed, and I applied again and was approved. :P

The only TAFL listing I have that applies is for Kugyou Kouki (http://\"http://www.overstuffed-closet.net/kouki/\") of Imadoki! by Watase Yuu. I remember I applied for it a looooooong time ago, but got rejected, then got to adopt it like 2 years later. :D
Also, I love this thread because it shows you never know what will happen in the world of fanlistings. Even if you get rejected once or twice (or more), you may always have the chance to own the fanlistings of your dreams. You just have to hang in there and have a little faith! :)

I have several like this (and a bunch at TFL too) My fanlisting motto is that patience almost always pays off in the end (seriously I have some fanlistings I had to try for four or five times)! This will be long because I always like to add the stories to all of these.
In no particular order:
Nakano Hiroshi (Gravitation) (http://\"http://fan.whiteplums.com/hiro/\") - suzumi was adopting him about about four or five times, but then ended up keeping him. I think I was the only one who applied a few of those times. When she did adopt him out, I wasn't picked. *sadface* Time went by and I noticed that the fanlisting hadn't moved. I emailed her to ask if she had ended up not adopting it out (why yes, I do often live on my nerve xD; ). Turns out the owner she had picked wasn't able to get him up due to personal issues and eventually *I* got to adopt him!! <3
Kamina Ayato (RahXephon) (http://\"http://forbidden-song.net/ayato/\") - Ayato was approved then never got built several times. I finally decided to apply and the first time my application never was received. He got approved to someone else who conveniently for me did not build him. I applied again, again my application did not get through (was the freakiest thing). Finally, third times was the charm, my app got through okay and I was approved.
Yukishiro Tomoe (Rurouni Kenshin) (http://\"http://whiteplums.com/\") - Tomoe is probably my most favorite character in any anime/manga series. Back when anime/manga fanlistings were still at TFL I applied and was rejected for Tomoe. I was lucky to host her fanlisting after awhile though, which made me quite happy. The owner decided to adopt her out and I almost missed it (thank goodness for Jackie giving me the heads up!). I applied and happily was chosen to adopt her. <3333
Himura Kenshin & Yukishiro Tomoe (Rurouni Kenshin) (http://\"http://whiteplums.com/otp/\") - This fanlisting is so special to me. I adore their relationship more than words. This was actually one of my very first fanlistings. I co-owned it was a then friend. This was long before the networks actually listed co-owners (his information was listed in the database, which I did not realized at the time). Much angst and drama ensued and he took the fanlisting. I never stopped believing I'd own it again. Eventually it got removed, I applied and joyfully was approved again! :birthday:
Kare First Love (http://\"http://fan.whiteplums.com/karefirstlove\") - When this was adopted out years ago I applied, but was too late by a few hours (the old owner even told me they wished they hadn't decided so soon since they would have given it to me if they hadn't already told someone else they had it ;_; ). Years go by, but it was finally removed, I applied and now own it!
Haibane Renmei (http://\"http://fan.whiteplums.com/haibanerenmei\") - Applied and was rejected. Owner adopted it out, I applied and was chosen as the new owner. :hug:

There were two (http://\"http://hagaren.org/\") other (http://\"http://www.witch-hunter.net/tsunade/\") fanlistings I applied to adopt, but I never heard back from the owners; the fanlistings were then removed or closed, and I applied for them at the network and was approved. :wub:

Since I last posted, adding Yue (http://\"http://c-minor.org/yue\"), Ranma & Akane (http://\"http://c-minor.org/half\") & Kei (http://\"http://c-minor.org/kei\"). I was rejected for Yue and Ranma & Akane quite a few years ago. I suppose Yuu (http://\"http://smile.c-minor.org/yuu\") fits as well - I never heard back on the adoption application and eventually, the fanlisting was removed.

I don't have any TAFL-related listings nowadays, though that may change soon, and I did before TAFL was created have Anime/Manga category FLs.

Just one. Anthy Himemiya (http://\"http://makoeyes.org/anthy\") I think I've applied 4 times in the last several years and got rejected each time. Then Kellie gave it to me and I was over the moon. >.< <3

=3 I've been rejected for 4 fanlistings in the past but never gave up on these: the first one is Airi (http://\"http://princess.peach-heart.net/\") (Meru Puri) ~ for that one I think I applied twice before being approved by the Staff (thanks again~<3).
Then, I applied once for Akito (http://\"http://flower.peach-heart.net/\") and twice for Akigure (http://\"http://flower.peach-heart.net/love/\") (Furuba). I was rejected for both but huuuuuuuge thanks to Kibou who let me adopt these two ~ <3 <3
the last one is Tooi Kono Machi de (http://\"http://ccs.nobara.org/tooi/\") ~ Rejected once but Chibi-chan (thank you<3) gave it to me~ my favorite anime song<3
