Songs Layout (rules)

This must be long issue by now, but I’m still confused regarding the “layout rule” in the SONGS category.

The network rule says:

Fanlisting graphics should reflect the subject you are approved for.

Your fanlisting’s layout and image codes should feature images that accurately reflect the subject you have been approved for. (For example, if you have been approved for the manga version of a character featured in a movie or a game, your layout should feature manga images of the character, unless you are approved for the other versions of the character as well.) Your image codes should also be clearly marked with the subject you have been approved for. (For example, if you own a series, character or relationship fanlisting, you can not have codes featuring only one character from the series and the word “fan.”)

If my understanding is correct, you can use any image as long you clearly stated in your layout the subject of the fanlisting, so it means manga images use for songs fanlisting is allowed just we need to label it properly? How about the buttons, we can use any images as long as marked it properly with the subject name we are approved for.

The reason I asked I see some of layouts think don’t really reflect the subject, For example is it ok to use the image of singer alone, if it just a TAFL, approved?

I'm not sure where you read that (probably in an old announcement/forum post), but that is NOT a network rule.  It was for a (very) short time a good while back, but it was modified/removed (if you check our rules page you will see we only have a rule regarding codes not fanlisting layouts).  I do recommend that you not use a singer in a fanlisting layout if your song fanlisting is only listed at TAFL though.  That is fine if it is listed at both networks, but it is really inappropriate if your fanlisting is only listed here.
