As I know I've mentioned before, when the topic of Locations first came up, they are currently approved in the Characters & Itmes category

There were a few other places I know that were approved, but I think the ones I remembered were removed for whatever reason ^^

Good question.   And can every place found in the anime series (real or imaginary) be applied for, or does the location need to have something different from its TFL counterpart? Can we apply for say, Tenchi Muyo: Tokyo even though there's no difference between TM's Tokyo and real-life Tokyo (save for the characters and whatnot), or does it have to be an alternate universe Tokyo, like Neon Genesis Evangelion's Neo-Tokyo?

Or am I even making sense?

And just to say something remotely significant and relevant...

Just remember though that all the locations, like items,  have to be "meaningful" to the series.
