Off-Topic Chit-Chat / Last movie you watched?
Alice in Wonderland, the Tim Burton one, for the first time. I have a particular hatred for Burton generally (for his films, really - he just has a tendancy to do something particularly morbid and then take it too far), and though my issues with his films cropped up a couple of times, in general, it wasn't too bad. I'd watch it again.
It is out on DVD now! I don't particularly like Tim Burton either, but my friends swear that this Alic narrative is superbly different. Will have to get the DVD and enjoy.

As for me, last movies I watched were Shrek 4 and Sex and the City 2.
I liked the second one better =D I've seen it at the IMAX twice now and I really can't wait for the DVD~
Yay for IM2 fans, haha. I can't wait for the DVD either! :D

Last movies seen recently (over at HBO): The Hulk (starring Edward Norton), Forgetting Sarah Marshall (written by and starring HIMYM's Jason Segel), and Can't Hardly Wait (90's teen flick, which incidentally also had Jason Segel as an extra).

 She was sooo kickass! It's kinda funny that both ScarJo and hubby Ryan Reynolds are in Marvel franchises. :whistles:

Was the first Iron Man movie better? Everyone keeps saying so, but I was blown away by this second one. So I can't wait to get my hands on the DVD copy of first movie. :flower:
Ditto here! I loved the movie a lot and Tony Strark is an awesome ego!XD All the movie waas great and the effects realated left me speechless!
But I admit that I prefered the other Rodhey as War Machine! :flower: In the comics he wasn't that thin..>_>
Tony Stark is AMAZING indeed! Only RDJ can play his sexy badass egotistical brilliant self. :drools: Because of the film, I'm an Iron Man convert. I have to admit I don't know Rhodey in the comics -- I'm only getting to know them now through the fics, hehe. The only Marvel series I truly followed were The X-Men (I still do!) and Spider-Man.
Saw Alice in Wonderland a few days ago... not sure if I liked it, or hated it. Any way, as usual Helena Bonham Carter was lovey and people tell me there are movie where Johnny Depp plays normal characters but I haven't seen any. And I don't think What's Eating Gilbert Grape counts.
I have to see that movie still! My friends fell in love with Ms. Bonham Carter (and with the entire production -- it wasn't a child's fairy tale any longer, that's for sure). And lol at Johnny Depp playing normal characters. That's true, I am yet to encounter him as just a regular guy in films.

Iron-Man 2! And because of that awesome film and no I did NOT see the first one -- another of life's regrets I am a new convert to the sexiness that is Robert Downey Jr. And to the Pepperony!love. Gwyneth makes a great Pepper, yes. I love their chemistry together. They have a very tangible sexual tension you just want to get a knife and slice through.

I absolutely LOVED the story. Makes you think about the economics and politics of world peace -- it's not just a pretty concept we throw around in the question and answer portions of local beauty pageants -- and about national security and the army and how men and women are willing to give up their lives for the sake of peace. (I had a cousin who died in Afghanistan, so.)

People are saying the first one's better, so I better get that on DVD. Watching again with some of my friends tomorrow. Can't wait. :flower:
