This is an announcement regarding
Adult rules and policies related to applications AND currently listed fanlistings. The overall category rules have mainly been revised for clarification and a new requirement has been implemented, changes detailed in this announcement are effective immediately, and all fanlistings in the category have been updated to reflect them whereas need to.

- The Adult category only covers fanlistings for officially produced mature manga and anime series (e.g. Kizuna, Genre: Yuri). Unofficial productions such as Doujinshi or Fanfiction must be applied for under the Fanstuff category (e.g., Naruto Yaoi Fanfiction).
- Please make sure your information is as complete as possible: include the full names of series, characters, songs, etc. Given names should be in the original Japanese order (in most cases, this is family name first).
- Adult fanlistings are no longer approved solely based on sexual and/or violent content. Instead where the Series was published is the major determining factor on whether the applied topic is to be listed in the Adult category or not. For example, the series Haou Airen was published in Sho-Comi (Shougakukan), a magazine for high school-aged teenagers, and so it is listed in the Series category; on the other hand, Love Mode, which was published in BexBoy (Biblos), a magazine for adults, is listed in the Adult category under the Series subcategory. If you are unsure of whether your fanlisting belongs in the Adult category or the general categories, please feel free to fill in a contact form before applying.
- Adult Series and Adult Movies/OVAs are to be applied for using the full name of the series/movie/OVA. Please do not apply with only shortened names or translated titles (e.g., apply for G-Senjou no Neko (Il Gatto Sul G), not the shortened title G-Neko.
- Adult Character applications must include the full Japanese title of the series AND the full original (Japanese) name of the character. If the character has a Western name or if their name is always written Western style in the original Japanese series, then write the name, Surname, GivenName (e.g., for the Western named character Mina Tepes, apply for: Dance in the Vampire Bund: Tepes, Mina).
- Adult Relationships are to be applied for as: Series Full Title: SurnameA NameA & SurnameB NameB.
- The Adult Songs subcategory is for adult anime themes only, and listings are to be applied for as: Series Full Title: Full Song Title (Opening/Ending/Insert) (e.g., Gantz: Last Kiss (Ending Theme))
- Companies, Conventions, Genres, and Magazine applications have to be mature-oriented to be listed in the Adult category (e.g., Genres: Yaoi, 801 Media).
- Please accurately indicate which subcategory (Series, Characters, Relationships, etc.) your topic belongs to in the subcategory field. Failure to do so may result in your application being disregarded and/or returned to you.
- If the topic you wish to apply for does not fit into any of the current subcategories, PLEASE fill in the subcategory field with the word blank and add the missing subcategory name in the comment field (e.g., Episodes) or send in a contact form before applying.

For further clarification, I'm merging the old "What is this category about?" thread here as well :frustrated: please keep in mind this is only a basic reference, the publishing house is the major determining factor on whether the applied topic is to be listed in the Adult category or not.
