Quesstion!

I was wondering that if one site houses 2 Music of fanlistings for two series, the second being a sequel to the first, would it be neccessary to have 2 separate member lists?

Like for example, The Gensomaden Saiyuki and Saiyuki Reload music of fanlistings (which I currently own. lol.)

This is nothing against Nekoi (^^) but I happened to inquire affiliation for her Code Geass and Code Geass R2 music FL and noted that the FL only had one list for both music ofs. So I'm just wondering, as I would love to just have one list for my FL too.

I usually take into account the time between series, whether they have different composers, etc. It gets kind of complicated. Since R2 is a direct sequel with only a one year gap in between with almost all the same information in terms of its music, it's fine with me that it has one member list. I'm not as familiar with Saiyuki, but I'm thinking it's one of those things that would have separate lists, if only because if I remember correctly there is at least one other Saiyuki series? Correct me if I'm wrong, haha. XD There's always the option of coding the join form to give them the choice to join one or both, too, if you haven't already done that.

If you do have reason to believe they should be one list, let me know why, though! Like I said, I don't know much about Saiyuki. XD

Oh yup, currently I have them on two lists, with the nifty join form trick. (: You're right there are 3 anime seasons with the Saiyuki series (so far). Season 2 (Reload) and 3 (Gunlock) have the same composers but the one for season 1 kinda differed. =/

If I applied for the Saiyuki Gunlock music FL, would it then be possible to have everything in one list?

Reload and Gunlock are actually considered a sequel to the original series and are considered series in their own right - not different seasons of the same series. I am not at all familiar with Code Geass, but reading on the internet I am lead to believe most fans consider R2 to be a second season?

Saiyuki gets even more confusing because Saiyuki Reload and Saiyuki Reload Gunlock are consider to be more "seasons" where Reload was season one and Gunlock was season two. The two ran consecutively - while there was about a three year break between Gensomaden Saiyuki and Saiyuki Reload. Reload and Gunlock are very nearly the same series.

So, to add my input Saiyuki and Reload should not have one single members list - because people who have watched Gensomaden Saiyuki may not have watched Reload and vice versa - people coming later to the fandom might have seen Reload but not Gensomaden. *personally watched Reload first because there were fewer episodes to download, ha ha*

I get fully what you're trying to say and since they have like...different composers, I think it;s best to leave them (1st series and reload) separate - but reload and gunlock can have one list together....something like that right? Haha.

According to my basic understanding of the many Saiyukis (thanks Shal <3), I would think Reload and Gunlock could have the same list, yes. :wub:
