We would like to clarify and remind our members of a few things.
For the most part, TAFL network rules and regulations are not open for discussion. We always welcome comments and suggestions, which we read through and consider, and discuss as a group. We, however, are under no obligation to apply those comments and suggestions to the network or how it is run. If you have a comment or suggestion about anything that transpires at TAFL, please feel free to use the
TAFL Contact Form to speak to the Senior Staffer of your choice, the Network Owner, or all of us, if you wish.
You are NOT free to harass any Senior Staffer through their personal contact info, be that email, websites, LJ or IM handles. Any Senior Staff member can and will answer any question(s) they see and are able to answer. These answers should be taken as definitive statements. They are under no obligation to explain in detail any answers they feel should be clear or have been discussed numerous times in the past. They are under no obligation to disclose how these answers came to be, with whom they were discussed or endorsed, or any other aspect of the decision-making process. They may also close any threads they answer if they feel the topic is now closed.
Please keep in mind that all members of the Senior Staff share the same beliefs and ideas about the network (we are all eerily like-minded). As such, when any Senior Staff member speaks, you can assume that they speak for the entire Senior Staff, and that any other member will give a similar (if not exactly same) answer. Each Senior Staffer has specific jobs which help the network run smoothly (TC management, board moderation, backups, etc), but they are not limited by these positions in the advice and answers they may give, in response to any post or question.
As a final, personal note, please remember that all TAFL Category Staffers, Senior Staffers, Trouble Checkers and board members are HUMAN BEINGS. Try to remember this before saying something that you might not (or definitely would not) say to someone's face. I like to believe that the TAFL boards, members and fanlistings represent a kinder, gentler community than most, and it deeply disturbs me to see people lashing out at others, as if this were a MuckY Social network-y-tyPe plACE. ^^;;;
