Personally, I think that both manhwa and manhua should be accepted at the Anime Fanlistings Network as well. They are considered by both companies and online readers to be manga as well. I was really shocked to learn that they weren't accept here.
For those who don't know, manhwa is basically a Korean comic, manga are Japanese comics, and manhua are Chinese comics. They're all asian comics though. They can all be found together in the manga section of any store - online or off. They are all treated equally by companies like VIZ and Funimation. You can read them all on manga readers (like mangafox, mangahere, etc). They also have the same art style and set up as Japanese manga.
So why should they not be accepted? Some even have their own animes! So why are they not accepted? Personally, I think that they should be. They're treated and looked at the same way as Japanese manga are. So why can't this network see them as the same?
I don't personally see manga, manhua, and manhwa as \"comics\". I see them as asian comics or as manga. To me, all asian comics should be over here and non-asian comics over at the Fanlistings Network. I guess for me, if they're not asian comics, they're more like American comics - like Batman or even fan comics like Danny Phantom Legendary Destination. Those to me are comics. Manga, manhua, and manhwa to me are different from other comics and shouldn't be simply be tossed with the rest of them.
So I was wondering if anyone else here felt the same way?
Does anyone else think that the Anime Fanlistings should accept manhua and manhwa as well?
