I hope you don't mind if I revive this topic. I've been getting a lot of new members from Serbia/Montenegro that seem to be more like spam bots. Is it possible to just delete those or would you like to see the applications? =\

I can't remember if I gave them my email address in the application forms for two of my fanlistings... what do I do?

Pretty much every example I've seen of Serbia/Montenegro has been spam so no, no evidence necessary. Use your best judgement... if it seems like a spam, there's a pretty good chance it IS a spam. (And that's what I do, too, with my fanlistings.)

When you have questions about your applications there are a few things you can do.

1.  Fill out a 'contact' form for the categories your applications were sent to (contact forms are found here)

or

2. Post a query in the board forums for the categories your applications were sent to (category forums are found here)

Whichever way you do it please make sure to give the following information to the staffer so they can best answer your question.


Your Name:
Your Email:
Subject of Applcation:
Approximately when you sent the app

Recently I got two pending members, but they are both actually the same person with 2 different email addresses. They have the same URL, and on that URL I can see both email addresses. My question is, am I supposed to approve him/her both times? Or should I just approve one email and delete the other?

I'm sorry if this question was already asked before.

I don't think that was the case. She (I'm assuming by her name) first joined in the 9th, then again today. Maybe she just forgot that she had joined the day before?  B) It doesn't say anything in the comments field, so I don't know whether to approve both or just the latest one.  

Oh, I was also just asking the question in general, but I guess the answer depends on each specific situation...

Do the names just about match?  If so, you can probably delete one of them.  If the names are different look at the website to see if it's maintained by more than one person; if the website is only maintained by one person you can probably delete one of them also.  In any case, if you delete a member, I would send a polite e-mail to that person/alias to let them know you've deleted them and why; that way, if they really are two seperate people and you made a mistake they know you weren't just deleting them for something odd, and they know to rejoin
