Since the original What Are You Reading thread has almost exclusively manga, I thought I'd create a new thread with a focus on literature (I know I can't be the only one who reads actual books here ).

Someone bought me Poppy Z. Brite's Lost Souls.  I'm in the midst of reading it.  I have had this author recommended to me numerous times, but never had the chance to read her before this.  This book is both interesting and disturbing all at once.  I'm not sure if want to seek out more of her full length novels or give some of her short story collections a try first, but I am sure I will be reading more by her.

I'm finally begining with the tailes of otori! but I also have re-read Selenko's Desirée! The last one is one of my favourite along with Pride and Prejudice, it was also my first book that I read in english and it's a romantic-hystorical novel about Napoleon's first love - Eugeni Desirée Clarie

I just finished reading The Great Gatsby for my English coursework the other day, and need to chose a companion book for it. I'm currently thinking about the Picture of Dorian Gray, which I kinda need to read soon-ish, ohohohoho.

I'm also reading Someone Like You by Sarah Dessen on and off, though I haven't for a while. Just haven't had the time to sit and read for leisure.

I finished reading Philip K. Dick's The Man in the High Castle which ended up being not quite my cup of tea =/ A couple of days ago I read Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox since I wanted to read it before seeing the film~

I haven't yet decided on my next book... either some Palahniuk I haven't read yet, some sci-fi or LOL CHICK-LIT (what, I feel like it).

I'm at the begining but I already like it.
Besides that poor books are in my possession like over a year, and I was saying: after the next exam, till i arrived - I'll read after I finish the thesis ect. XD - so yeah I just want to read in peace.

I've been reading Robin Hobb's Fool's Errand, which is the first book of The Tawny Man Trilogy. I'm having some problems going trough it, since it's a 'direct' sequal to her FIRST trilogy (The Tawny Man is her third trilogy) and I read those about 5 years ago, so I forgot a lot.. Perhaps I need to pick up the first trilogy first, hmm..

;fhasjfh *joins in on the squeeage* :) LOL, it's been so long since I first read Tales of Otori but damn, I loved it back then. My 14!year-old self had such a crush on Takeru his name was Takeru, right? lol, it was a little ridiculous at times. :)

Also, Sayacci, going to start Desirée tonight!

Apart from that, I'm currently reading Queen of Fashion - What Marie Antoinette Wore to the Revolution which is probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I really like it so far, haha. *has a thing for fashion*
