I am currently reading Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella. Lovely Brit chick lit!

I would like to buy books from the Hunger Games series, though. Finished off my entire Twilight series collection too quickly for convenience!

Shi, you MUST buy that trilogy!  The books are SO good.  I think it blows Twilight out of the water in terms of writing and character development.  Suzanne Collins is an excellent writer.  I have become such a Hunger Games fangirl since discovering it a few months back.  I am on pins and needles waiting for the last book in August!

I am currently reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson.  It is really really good.  I am enjoying it so much I have already ordered the last two books in the trilogy (I am apparently into trilogies atm, lol).  I highly recommend this in addition to the above mentioned Hunger Games trilogy!

Next books I will be tackling on my to be read pile: The Maze Runner by James Dashner, Loups-Garous by Natsuhiko Kyogoku, and The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan.

Perchance to Dream by Lisa Mantchev. It's the second book of a series of three. :P I love the main character -- scrap that, most of the characters - but I'm not enjoying it as much as the first book, unfortunately. :cookie:

I will completely agree with Rose. The Hunger Games books are amazing, and I'm really eagerly awaiting Mockingjay's release in August as well. Great characters, really interesting plot and actually good writing!

Currently reading The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov, my first foray into Russian Literature. Really intriguing and well written so far!

C&P is just about my favorite book ever~ I also find it extremely hilarious in certain parts xD Enjoy it!

As for me, I'm still battling with this Diana Wynne Jones book D: I've managed to read Cormac McCarthy's The Road and re-read the first two Suzumiya Haruhi novels in the meanwhile, so at least it's not all lost.

Can't help but agree with this! I just finished the first book and am about to order the 2nd one from amazon, haha. I loooove Peeta so much ;dhjsd gahh. But yeah, the books definitely are well written x3 Though I'm not sure if I'm not liking Battle Royale better, still.. will see what the 2nd part is like and then decide. x3

Apart from that, I've been reading tons of books lately @__@ Mostly stuff by Agatha Christie (Murder on the Orient Express, Hallowe'en Party), Pope Joan by Donna Woolfolk Cross, the first novel of The Sookie Stackhouse Chronicles Dead Until Dark (and now I want to start watching True Blood, haha) and PS: I love you by Cecelia Ahern, which was cute (though I didn't like the movie adaption at all).

... Yeahhh. I went MIA while spending the past 2-3 weeks only reading. >_> Next is Catching Fire, naturally :D (Peeta~) and another one by Agatha Christie because I'm a geek. /hops off

You know, I haven't really compared Battle Royale with The Hunger Games Trilogy in my head, despite the obvious similarities, I think they are quite different. *ponders* I love both for different reasons.  I'm a Peeta fan too!    How can you not just adore the guy?  Sarah if you love him now, just wait until you read the second book - you'll love him even more!  I'm so happy you read it!  Now to get more people on board with this awesome trilogy.   :(

Currently I am reading the Girl Who Plays with Fire, the second book in the Steig Larsson trilogy I was talking about.

I'm going to take this opportunity to once again recommend everyone read Blood and Chocolate if you have not already!

Another new The Hunger Games trilogy fan here! I bought The Hunger Games on a whim after seeing someone (probably Daphne or Rose :() recommend it and yeah - totally fell in love. Read it in a day and I am working my way though Catching Fire right now. The only reason it's taking longer is because I have it in e-book on my computer so reading time is curtailed, LOL.

I can't wait for Mockingjay!

I shall happily take credit for this Shal!

I just started reading Rachel Vincent's Soul Screamers series on my new Kindle, which my uncle got me for my birthday!   :(

I never ever buy hardback editions, but I just had to get myself the new Artemis Fowl, The Atlantis Complex (yeah, I'm a fan) ♥ So I'm reading that one now~

Btw, anyone here with a Shelfari account? I started using it this year to keep track of my books and it's pretty fun (and looks cute!). I have nearly no friends over there, so I was wondering...

;fsjfh I just finished Catching Fire and ;____; Loved it. SO MUCH. Was reading until 3 am or so last night and first thing I did this morning was pick it up again and finish, haha. Damnit do I love Peeta. I really can't wait for Mockingjay. I'm even considering buying the hard-cover version despite the fact that, like Estee, I normally hate doing so >_>; But I don't know if I can manage to wait the ~3 weeks it will take for the  paperback version to come out... ugh, decisions. xD

But Peeeeeeetaaaaaa~~~ :D :(
You know, I haven't really compared Battle Royale with The Hunger Games Trilogy in my head, despite the obvious similarities, I think they are quite different. *ponders* I love both for different reasons.  I'm a Peeta fan too!    How can you not just adore the guy?  Sarah if you love him now, just wait until you read the second book - you'll love him even more!  I'm so happy you read it!  Now to get more people on board with this awesome trilogy.   :)
Haha, I can see now what you're saying after having finished the 2nd book. To be honest, I liked it tons better than the first one (which is weird cause of all the trilogies I've read I've never liked the one in the middle, so to-speak) but imo the writing style improved a lot with Catching Fire (though not to say that it was anywhere near bad before!) and I find it's more difficult to compare to Battle Royale now, too. I think it's mostly because in the first book, there were some things I didn't like as much or that I felt that were.. missing (without spoilering anyone now) but that, for example, were covered in Battle Royale quite well which is (why I loved it so much, gahhh! Shuya~). But yeah, I'm not sure if I'm making sense >__>;; I don't want to post any unnecessary spoilers.

Rose, Shal, Daphne x3 We should make some Hunger Games session chat sometime hahah~

! I've never heard of Shelfari before but I agree that it looks really pretty and cute, so I'll probably sign up and add you then x3 So far I only had a goodreads.com account, but I find the set-up there so confusing at times (but then again, I only started using it recently..)

ETA; Aaand signed up! I'm suzukaze. Only added the books I've read in the past couple of weeks (read: since vacation started) for now~ <3 Then maybe at least the ones I've read this year in total, too. :3 /hops off to fill shelf

Mockingjay's release date gets closer and closer!

I have read tons lately.  I am indeed completely and utterly hooked on Rachel Vincent's Soul Screamers series.  So good!  I have her Shifters series on my Kindle and will start reading those very soon.  Atm, though, I am reading lots of Romance novels.  I just reread one of my all time favorites, One Summer by Karen Robards.  Highly recommended by me!
