Finaly ^^u I'm converting most of my fanlistings into Enth3, but as I'm currently owning a fair amount of fanlistings I prefered avoiding error pages and DB errors /hate when i get a 404 error page ^^u/ this is why I put up a "Temporary Hiatus" templated page for index page in each FL being converted (as this one).

My wonder is: Is it enough with explaining with this kind of page why the FL is currently down and for a short period of time along a post on downtime & host troubles subforum, or do I need to email each category staffer to let they know o.ó? (because I want to avoid any troubles strike of course v.v)

You need to provide a date by which you'll be returning on the hiatus page. And it can't be for an extended period of time (i.e., more than a month).

I don't think it will take more than a couple of days, I've already setup everything I just need to add the code snippets to each fanlisting n.n. so, I can tell that on wednesday 26 they will be back-online. is that okay? (unless unexpected troubles v.v)

Ok, i keep getting this for my Botan & Momiji fanlistings.

People are joining with names like "·Òë¹«Ë¾" and putting weird stuff in the comment box o.o;;

You're free to delete stuff like this, it's obviously a spam (hence the link). Probably one of the blog-comment spambots trying it's hand at a fanlisting. :/

Hiya,
I've been wondering this for some time now. I'm pretty sure many of my fanlisting's members have changed their e-mail address since they join. Even so, could I delete a member if his/her e-mail address doesn't work anymore??? I mean, the person is probably still a fan, but since there is no more way to contact him/her... What should I do? Delete those members anyway? Or keep them? Thanks

I've always kept the member no matter what. It is their responsibility to update their information and keep things current, but unless they tell you they want to be removed, I just leave it be. As long as your site is listed at tafl, they'll be able to find it.

Yeah. x.x I've got about 3,000 right now. *so putting off checking* The easy way, though, is just to send an email and have everyone reply to it. But... ahem. Mailbox flood? Yes.

You can remove members who have *invalid or non-existent e-mails*. You shouldn't remove members who simply have full inboxes. Also make sure that your host allows you to send out the e-mails - some hosts don't permit you to mail out more than 100 or 200 e-mails per hour.

This might sound rather silly, but I was wondering how the board chooses which smileys to put on. I'm not saying I don't like them, because heck, I overuse them all the time. But TFL has a lot more choices, and I figured the two boards were pretty much the same in terms of features... I like the party one, and the judge one, and the crying one just because it actually looks really sad... *rambles on and on*

Basically, I'm suggesting we add more smileys. :x

Thought I should post here, seeing as it deals with more than one place <3

If I applied for a relationship and rivalry, it would be considered okay, as long as both have seperate members lists.
If I applied for that same fanlisting at TFL in Games, say....... Would it still be okay, or am I not allowed to do that?

I wanted to ask, because I love their rivalry far more than the relationship (I don't even think they like each other a little bit o_o ), but their game appearance is more recognisable to most. But the Games category no longer has the rivalry open. So yeah, just really wondering if it would be okay. If I've confused anyone, let me know, I sometimes do that :flower:
